Day Groups
We welcome day groups for a visit that includes FREE bus parking. The USS Edson is conveniently located just minutes off the E. Wilder Rd. exit in Bay City, Michigan.
There is no limit to the size of your group. However, we do request you call ahead if you have a group of 10 or more participants.
Group Tours
The USS Edson is the perfect destination for fun and informative visits for groups of all ages and sizes.
Tours of the “Grey Ghost of the Vietnamese Coast”, led by our knowledgeable tour guides, give visitors an up-close-and-personal look at the many things that make the USS Edson unique: weapons systems, berthing areas, command and control centers, hurricane bow, on-board museum exhibitions and so much more!
Teachers – we can gear your tour to match what you are working on in class. Make sure to ask about this when scheduling.
To qualify for group rates your group must have ten (10) or more participants and book at least 14 days in advance. PLEASE CALL TO RESERVE AND TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUR GROUP RATES.
We do occasionally accept bookings outside of our normal hours. Special requirements apply and we will need at least 14 days notice. Call for more information.

Come stay aboard the USS Edson, the only surface warship in the Mid-West, and watch history come alive. The ship is yours to explore – walk the decks, take command of the bridge and sleep in the same bunks as the men who once served on this amazing ship. Perfect for almost any group, including scouting and youth groups as well as family or adults-only events. An overnight stay on the USS Edson is something that will never be forgotten.
Groups will have access to explore the ship until 10 PM. There is a large screen TV and DVD player for use in the mess deck. You are welcome to bring your own drinks, snacks, and food.
THE DETAILS
SCOUTS
A minimum of 10 people to make a reservation
$50 per person (bring own food)
$60 per person (Pizza, Drinks, and Continental breakfast provided)
OTHER GROUPS
You must have at least 5 people or more to make a reservation.
Base price is $80 per person.

Details
-> A $50, non-refundable deposit is due within 14 days of your reservation to hold your spot.
-> You may add people to your reservation up until final payment is due. You MUST call to confirm that space is available.
-> Final payment is due upon arrival.
-> Group check in time will be 5 PM unless other arrangements are made.
-> All people and belongings must be off the ship by 8 AM.
-> Reservations are accepted April through August. All weekends and all weeknights are open for regular overnights.
-> Smaller groups may be double booked.
-> No Private overnights for small groups. They are available for an additional fee. Please contact us for more information.
Paranormal Investigations and Overnights
They say that a ship that travels the sea is never truly at rest – are you ready to discover the secrets held by the USS Edson?
Our paranormal program is officially open and accepting reservations. Reservations are accepted for dates April through August 30th.
Our paranormal investigation program gives you access to the most active paranormal areas of the ship. You are encouraged to bring equipment with you, none will be provided.
A minimum of four people are required to make a reservation.
Prices start at $120 per person for an investigation and overnight stay.
A $120 per group deposit is required to hold your date. Reservations are accepted April through August 30th.
Please be aware that we will double book small groups. Your investigation will not be compromised but if you prefer to have the ship to yourselves, we do offer that option. Pricing depends on several factors, please contact us for more information.
