Thunder Rally in the Valley August 21–22, 2026 Presented by Thunder Roads Michigan MagazineBenefiting the Saginaw Valley Naval Ship Museum The Saginaw Valley Naval Ship Museum is excited to host Thunder Rally in the Valley on Friday, August 21 and Saturday, August 22, 2026. Thunder Rally in the Valley is a family-friendly, public motorcycle event celebrating our military community and supporting the preservation of the USS Edson (DD 946). The weekend will feature tent camping, food and merchandise vendors, service vendors, a beer tent, and live music throughout the event. Created to honor past and current U.S. military service members, Thunder Rally brings riders, veterans, families, and the community together for a weekend of celebration while raising funds to support the Saginaw Valley Naval Ship Museum. Veterans & Active Duty: Permission Granted! Veterans and active-duty military personnel are invited for a unique opportunity to board the USS Edson (DD 946) and experience what it's like to spend the night aboard a real Navy destroyer. Overnight Experience FREE for U.S. veterans and active-duty personnel. Immediate family members are welcome to join you for this unforgettable experience. Overnight participants will have the opportunity to: Spend the night aboard the USS Edson Experience life aboard a historic Navy destroyer Bring immediate family members Take part in the Thunder Rally in the Valley festivities Limited Spots Available A limited number of overnight bunks are available exclusively for U.S. military veterans and active-duty personnel. First come, first served. Registration is required.
